Athletes included in the testing pools of RUSADA (National Registered or Extended) or the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) are required to enter data. The decision to include an athlete is based on a risk assessment system.

The obligation to provide whereabouts information begins the moment an athlete is included in a testing pool. The athlete must continue providing this information until they receive notification of their removal from the pool or until they submit an official retirement notice to RUSADA and/or the AIU (with a copy to RUSADA).

A temporary login and password are provided by RUSADA or the AIU upon the athlete’s inclusion in a testing pool. The athlete receives an official notification specifying which testing pool they have been placed in, what whereabouts information must be provided, and temporary credentials for their first login. The athlete must then log in to their profile and update their password according to the criteria specified in the letter.

No, you do not need to check in every day. However, you are obligated to:

− Provide a daily 60-minute time slot for a full quarter in advance (e.g., 07:00–08:00 am), specifying the location and type of activity for potential testing.

− Make changes if your plans change (e.g., if you leave for a training camp).

The athlete provides whereabouts information for each day of the upcoming quarter and updates it as changes occur to ensure the sample collection procedure can be carried out without advance notice.

The following information must be provided:

− A «60-minute slot» of your choice between 5:00 am and 11:00 pm for every day of the quarter, including weekends and holidays, during which you are guaranteed to be at the specified address and available for testing (only for athletes in the National Registered Testing Pool);

− For each day of the upcoming quarter, the full address of your actual overnight location («Current Residence or Overnight Stay» category), including weekends and holidays (home address, hotel, sports base);

— For each day of the upcoming quarter, the name and address of every facility where you will be training («Training/Training Place» category), working, or performing other regular activities, such as school («Other» category), along with the usual times for these activities;

Please note: You should specify ONLY the days on which you are participating/competing, NOT the entire duration of the competition. For example, if an event lasts 5 days but you only compete on the first day, the «Competition» category should only be used for that specific day;

− The schedule of competitions/sports events for the upcoming quarter, including the name and address of each venue where a performance is planned and the scheduled date and time of the performance («Competition» category).

− Up-to-date contact details in the «Demographic» section of the profile (phone, mailing address, email, etc.), which will be used by RUSADA, if necessary, to send you official notifications. Contact information must be updated promptly if it changes.

− Other information as required by RUSADA.

Any error or omission (failure to enter data, providing an incorrect address, or being absent during the specified 60-minute slot) is considered a Missed Test.

Three missed tests within 12 months are treated as an anti-doping rule violation and lead to a 2-year disqualification (up to 4 years in some cases).

For athletes in the National Registered Testing Pool (NRTP) of RUSADA or the AIU:

In the event of a failure by an athlete in the NRTP to comply with whereabouts requirements, specifically:

− Absence of one or more categories in the whereabouts information (failure to specify training, competitions, overnight location, travel, or flights);

− Incorrect/incomplete data in the whereabouts information;

− Failure to fill out whereabouts information in the ADAMS system for the quarter on time.

RUSADA or the AIU may consider this a potential violation of the athlete’s availability for testing (filing failure) in accordance with Annex B of the International Standard for Results Management.

− Absence from the specified address during the «60-minute slot» may be recorded as a «missed test.» In accordance with Clause 4.4 of the All-Russian Anti-Doping Rules, any combination of three missed tests and/or filing failures recorded by RUSADA and/or the AIU within 12 months constitutes an anti-doping rule violation, which may result in disqualification.

The standard period of ineligibility for a first violation under Article 4.4 is 2 years.

For athletes in the RUSADA Extended Testing Pool:

− Failure to provide whereabouts information within the required timeframe, or providing inaccurate, incorrect, or incomplete information, may lead to:

− An official warning regarding the failure to provide information, which RUSADA will send to the email address specified in the ADAMS profile;

− Transfer/inclusion of the athlete into the National Registered Testing Pool (in which case, the athlete will be obligated to comply with the requirements of Clause 4.8.6.2 of the International Standard for Testing and Investigations);

Additionally (if warranted by the circumstances), a case may be opened against the athlete for potential evasion of sample collection under Clause 4.3 of the Russian Anti-Doping Rules, and/or potential tampering or attempted tampering with any part of doping control under Clause 4.5 of the Russian Anti-Doping Rules.
